On the 10th of November, Beccles U15s hosted Norwich at Beef Meadow. Before the clash, both teams united to honor the fallen with a poignant two-minute silence.
The match kicked off with a bang! Beccles dominated the scrums and rucks, setting the tone early on. The home side struck first, crossing the line for a converted try that ignited the crowd. But Norwich hit back hard, leveling the score with a try of their own.
The intensity continued throughout the first half, with both teams trading heavy hits and determined runs. The teams went into the break locked at 12-12.
The second half was a rollercoaster. Beccles started strong, but Norwich’s experience shone through as they added two more tries to their tally. Undeterred, Beccles fought back, scoring another try to keep the game alive. The home side were unlucky not to score more, with three tries disallowed due to infringements.
Despite the setbacks, both teams played with incredible sportsmanship and passion. It was a thrilling match to watch, with the final score ending 17-22 in favor of Norwich.
Henley Morgan was named Beccles’ Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
