Lowestofts' defeat was foreshadowed by an overcast day from the get-go. Kauri opened the scoring with a great solo effort, stepping 2 would-be defenders in the process. A strong run by Morton led to his first try of the season and Puxley was able to snag another before the half to give the game a score line of 19-0.
The second half was much of the same as the first and second games Beccles played, camped in the oppositions half, but still vulnerable to the counter attacks. After a shakey start to the first half, allowing in a try, the Beccles pack were able to carry well near the goaline, Johnstone went over for the points. Another try was conceded by the boys in green but thankfully Gedney and Carlton went over for 2 more tries to seal the win, this time some neat passing and spatial awareness from the backs enabled both tries. Lowestoft got a penalty try near the end but it was in vain.
Man of the Match was Second row Johnstone.
Kauri made 4/6 conversions from tight angles, also adding another 2 penalties.
Beccles now sit top of the league, but with a tough match against a good Medics side at home next week, it is by no means a forgone conclusion that this will be an easy season
