After a fiery 10 minutes, Johnstone was able to make use of some good possession and go over for try. Shortly after, Beccles began relinquishing possession back to Wymondham. After an injury to the Beccles centre Suchy, the away teams' NO.13 was able to run through the green defense and level it up from 10 yards out.
After a tries from Arnold and Harrison, and a great cross field kick from a 9 & 13 combo that also resulted in a try; the Bulls found themselves 8 points ahead. With only 15 minutes to go, Adams got a yellow card which put Beccles down to 14 men and gave a huge advantage to Wymondham in the scrums. They ended up capitalising on this with a move off a scrum only 5 meters out from the try line. The proceeding conversion was missed. Beccles managed to hold a 3 point lead, doubling it to 6 when Gedney converted a penalty with 3 minutes left. MOTM was Richardson, earned through some strong running.
Despite winning in a good competitive match, unnecessary penalties from Beccles stopped momentum and almost contributed to the away team winning.
The club had also held an open day with all levels of the youth section out supporting and fundraising for the club. Beccles face Diss 2's at home next Saturday.
