With Sale away on holiday young Spanish player Peru was given his chance at No.9.Sam Long got injured during warm up and so Murray was brought in at fullback and Cooper started at No.10.A welcome return to the side was made by David Rix.
Beccles were on the score sheet within the first minute when Wade stepped up to slot over a half way penalty following an infringement on a pressurized Ipswich Scrum.Ipswich immediately responded with two quick similar tries finding space up the blindside on both occasions.Beccles began to dominate the scrummage and Peru was able to feed the back line with good ball and eventually Stuart Armstrong finished off some good backs play before side stepping his opposite number to score out wide,Wade unfortunately hit the post to deny any extra points.Again Ipswich game back and scored another try just before half time.
At half time Rix was brought on at No.8 and Coleman came into lock, this gave Beccles a much needed boost and Beccles dominated the second half.Peru was Beccles man of the match and was having a fine game with several sniping runs and bossing the forwards to go on,however Beccles could not finish off a number of chances which gave the travelling team the confidence to go on to score a fourth try in the dying minutes of the game.
Beccles are on the road again this Saturday when thy travel to Woodford in search of much needed points.
