To all young rugby players and their parents, welcome to a new season at Beccles Rugby Club, where we are proud of the achievements and excellent attitude of our minis players.

The Club's new 22 strong Committee of ambitious volunteers remains highly committed to the minis section and the importance of keeping the minis teams and the Hub at the heart of our club. In 2011 the club embarked on a 10-year development programme which has the primary objective of having teams at each age group from U6s through to the senior’s rugby at 17yrs old. The fruition of the programme and the continued development of players is something that as a club we are extremely proud of and underlines the importance of the minis and youth sections to Beccles Rugby Club for its continued success.

The Club Committee continues to promote and ensure players, coaches, parents, spectators and volunteers uphold the core values of Rugby Union; Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. These values will stand our young people in good stead both on and off the rugby pitch.

Rugby takes place every Sunday morning at 10am until midday. Please follow the Beccles Minis and Youths Facebook site for updates in the event of poor weather (heavy frost or rain) leading to unplayable pitches. Unless you hear otherwise, assume rugby is on! If the weather is particularly poor training sessions (particularly for the younger age groups) might be reduced in length so that children don’t get cold, wet or miserable. Most coaches will also run a WhatsApp group to communicate with the parents of their age group as to whether rugby is on or not. The fixtures list here is up to date.

Annual Subscription for the minis section for 2018/19 is £80. This includes a match top, shorts and socks. For Tiny Bulls we operate a weekly pay as you play for £2 per session.
We must insist on a “no pay no play” policy. This is for insurance purposes, therefore children will not be permitted to play without RFU registration and annual subscriptions paid.
Our key aim is to encourage children to enjoy the game of rugby and develop as a person, therefore should the annual subscription fees be prohibitive for some parents we would be happy to discuss to see what we can do to help either through different payment plans or a bursary.

All our coaches are fully qualified to coach age group rugby and are actively involved in their continued professional development to try and give the Beccles Minis the best possible experience. Most importantly all coaches have been screened (Disclosure and Barring Service) for their suitability for working with young people.
